High school and college groups get the floor before it opens, with speakers, giveaways and a look at where the industry can take them.

Summit Racing Student Career Day Students at Student Career Day

How to enter

Registration is due by Tuesday, March 23, 2027. Online pre-registration is required for every participant. Career Day tickets are $15 each, valid the day of the event, sent electronically to the purchaser and never sold at the box office. Bus parking is free.

The program

The Student Career Day program began in 2006 to support school automotive programs by exposing students to the range of opportunities in the industry through speakers, presentations, corporate support and event participation. It takes place at select Autorama, World of Wheels and Cavalcade of Customs events.

The program is presented by Summit Racing Equipment and the International Show Car Association (ISCA), who, with Autorama, World of Wheels and Cavalcade of Customs, are committed to supporting the future of the automotive and hot rod aftermarket industries.

We invite chaperoned groups of high school and college students studying automotive-related curricula, as well as design, engineering, manufacturing, marine, motorcycle, small engine and welding. The day is hands-on, with guest speakers who share their experience, knowledge and passion for the industry and the career avenues open to students through their studies.

The day

The program begins at 9:30 am with a general session. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early for check-in. The general session lasts about 45 minutes and includes giveaways (hats, magazines, decals), special interactive show features, brief comments from sponsors and guest speakers, and prize drawings.

After the general session, students preview the show before it opens to the public: they meet car owners and builders, take part in interactive exhibits and talk with local colleges and tech schools about their programs and scholarships.

Show concessions open early so students can buy a meal on site (the $5 lunch coupon is no longer offered).
